In this 2026, 11th annual competition, we seek to harness the powers of climate comedy through compelling,
resonant and meaningful FILMS – up to 2 minutes in length.

AWARD CRITERIA
Successful entries will have found the funny while relating to climate change issues. Each entry will be reviewed by a jury composed of students, staff and faculty at the University of Colorado (CU) Boulder.
AWARD PAYOUT
1st place: $1000 prize ~ 2nd place: $500 ~ 3rd place: $250
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
1-2 page pdf description of entry, including
- Title of creative work,
- Names and affiliations of all authors/contributors,
- Contact information of person submitting the entry,
- A statement of permissions for use of content, as necessary, and
- A 100-word description of the work.
- The up-to-2-minute composition, posted with an accessible, shared link on Youtube or Vimeo
SUBMISSION, DECISION & ACCEPTANCE DEADLINES
Feb 23: entries due to itgcomedy@colorado.edu
April 13: applicants informed of decisions
May 13: recipient must respond and complete CU Boulder’s associated paperwork
